2026 BOYS TRYOUTS

Welcome

Welcome

2026 season TRYOUTS for the BOYS 1848 AAU program!

There is a $20 fee for tryouts - collected AT THE TRYOUT.  (There is no fee collected in this registration.)  This can be in cash, check (made out to Team 1848) or via credit card.

This is the tryout for the 2026 season with practices that begin in MARCH of 2026.  The email and contact phone number you enter in the registration will be the contact information we use to send out the roster spots offered.  If you are unable to make this tryout date, but would like to try out for the program, please check the box for the "Alternate Date".  We do NOT have that date set, but as soon as we do, we will email you with the alternate option for your division.

There is a question on "how many teams do you have at each division" that we get every year.  If you are new to our program, we have one National Team at each division.  IF we have the numbers and the talent, we also have a second team, referred to as the State team at each division.  MAX of 2 teams at any age group.  The second team will play to it's level.  Meaning, that some of our State teams are able to compete at a higher level, and the tournaments will reflect that.  Some of our second teams are development teams that are working to be able to take that next step and compete at a higher level.  We understand from previous years, that many players will ONLY accept a roster spot on the top team.  To streamline the offer process, we do have a field that indicates that you ONLY want to be considered for a NATIONAL spot.  Checking that box does not give you any advantages.  When the decisions have been made to offer spots, we will access the registration data if we are offering a State spot.  (for example your player indicates "National Only".  If they are listed on the offers as "make a state player offer" we will see that option at that point and just not make that offer for a State spot.  We will move to the next player to avoid delays - and make the State offer to the next player on the list)  If you are new to the program and unsure of this part, do NOT click the "national only" button.  Keep all your options open.
